As America's presidential race heats up, London's Financial Times reported on a new generation of startups that are taking corporate marketers’ targeting techniques and selling them to political campaigns.
The FT's Hannah Kuchler interviewed Quid founder Bob Goodson about Quid's power to visualize millions of news articles, allowing campaign managers to zoom in, "Google Maps-style" on potential problems for a candidate or their opponents.

The answer: rarely. In fact, Quid found that companies are much more likely to describe the departure of a CEO as a "resignation," or with some other phrasing, rather than calling it a firing.
